MAN TO MAN COMBAT RULES
   
  Weight Class: Each weight class division is subdivided by age and experience.
 
Flyweight – 115 to 125lbs
Bantamweight – over 125 to 135lbs
Featherweight – over 135 - 145lbs
Lightweight – over 145 to 155lbs
Welterweight – over 155 to 170lbs
Middleweight – over 170 to 185lbs
Light Heavyweight – over 185 to 205
Cruiserweight – over 205 to 225lbs
Heavyweight – over 225 to 265lbs
Super Heavyweight – over 265lbs
   
  Experience Class:
 
Black- has experience of more than 5 competitive (non professional) fights which may include: Fight Club experience, other martial arts, wrestling, street fighting
Silver- has experience of less than 5 competitive fights – novice
   
  Male and Female fighters may only fight opponents of the same sex.
 
  Bout Duration: All bouts will be 3 rounds. Each round will be 3 minutes with a 1 minute rest period between rounds.
 

 

  Fight Attire:
 
All fighters must wear:
 
Mouthpiece
Shorts or appropriate covering of all “private” parts
Groin protection
Approved gloves for the specific event
Upon the fighter’s choice, Gi, kneepads, elbow pads, shin guards, taping, and knee or ankle braces may be worn and will be required to be inspected by the referee before the fight.
Fighters may wear head gear if both fighters mutually agree to both wear it.
  Fouls:
 
Butting with the head
Eye gouging of any kind
Biting
Hair pulling
Fish hooking
Groin attacks of any kind
Putting a finger into any orifice or into any cut or laceration on an opponent.
Small joint manipulation
Striking to the spine or back of head
Striking downward using the point of the elbow
Throat strikes of any kind, including, without limitation, grabbing the trachea
Clawing, pinching or twisting of flesh
Grabbing the clavicle
Kicking the head of a grounded opponent
Kneeing the head of a grounded opponent
Stomping a grounded opponent
Kicking the kidney with the heal
Spiking an opponent to the canvas on his head or neck
Throwing the opponent out of the ring or fenced area
Holding the short, gloves, or clothing of an opponent
Spitting at an opponent
Engaging in unsportsmanlike-like conduct that causes injury to an opponent or referee
Holding the ropes or the fence
Using abusive language in the ring or fenced area
Attacking an opponent on or during a break
Attacking an opponent who is under the care of the referee
Attacking an opponent after the bell is sounded the end of a period of unarmed combat
Flagrantly disregarding the instructions of the referee
Timidly, including without limitation, avoiding contact with an opponent, intentionally or consistently dropping the mouthpiece or faking an injury
Interference by the corner
Throwing any object –including a towel- during competition
   
  Ways to Win:
 
Submission by:
 
Physical tap out
Verbal tap out
Technical knock out
 
Referee stoppage: if the referee sees that on fighter is completely dominant to point of endangering his opponent, the referee will stop the match
Doctor stoppage: if the fighter is injured (via fair methods) and cannot continue the match his opponent will be declared winner. If the opponent is injured by illegal methods the perpetrator will be disqualified.
Decision:
 
If the match goes the distance, the outcome of the bout is determined by the three judges according to the following criteria (listed according to priority):
 
Effort made to win by knock out or submission
Damage given to the opponent
Standing combinations and/or ground control
Aggressiveness
Weight difference
The fight is scored each round. Each judge must choose a winner of each round earning the fighter a score of 10. The non winner may earn a score from the judge of 9 or less depending on performance. A fighter who earns a yellow card via committing an illegal act shall not score in excess of 5 points in that round.
There will be no draws.
   
  Disqualification:
 
Committing any foul flagrantly intentionally. Referee may disqualify any fighter at any time for any foul if the referee feels the foul was committed intentionally.
In the event that any foul is committed accidentally or seemingly accidentally, or fails to follow the referee’s instructions at any time, the fighter will be given a “warning” in the form of a yellow card. Three warnings will result in a disqualification.
Purposefully exiting the ring.
No application of oil, ointment, spray, Vaseline, hair gel or spray or any other substance is permitted on the fighter’s body before or during the fight excepting for a small amount of Vaseline applied only to the face by the ring-side doctor.
